Macy Gray is set to release an album of unconventional and unexpected cover songs, called Covered, on March 27. The album is what it's called, but the songs she chose to cover are not what you'd expect. No soulful R&B tunes. Rather, she went the indie rock route.

Gray selected indie rock tracks from the last decade that she has been performing live in recent years. Some of her choice cuts are Arcade Fire's "Wake Up," My Chemical Romance's "Teenagers," Radiohead's "Creep" and AWOLNATION's "Sail." She also rocks Metallica's "Nothing Else Matters. " It's not what you'd expect and that's what we like.

Gray plans to embark on a world tour to support the album, too.

What rock track would you like to see Macy Gray cover?
