Madonna Facing Logo Lawsuit

Madonna is facing legal action from an Australian artist who says she copied his logo for her Truth or Dare perfume, her debut scent. Ouch.
RJ Williams is upset that the 'M' symbol on her scent bottle and its box resembles his own artwork. Williams claims he trademarked the logo and has used it on clothing for eight years, in 2011 and he is taking legal action over what he alleges is a breach of copyright. Hmm, that's a tough one, since M, is, you know, a letter of the alphabet.
"Friends from all over the world have been calling me upon seeing the Truth or Dare by Madonna campaign to express their disgust and support," he told The Daily Telegraph in Australia. "It's about my integrity as an artist. I do not think it should be able to be used by a giant cosmetics company."
Williams claims he has sent a legal letter to Madonna's manager Guy Oseary, requesting that the Material Girl cease infringing his copyright. He also wants a cut of the profits earned so far and to enter into a license with the singer so that he may be paid for future use of the symbol.
Team Madonna or Team Williams?
