    Madonna's MDNA tour was the highest-grossing tour of 2012. It was her ninth world tour, which began in May, two months after the release of the mixed reaction receiving MDNA.

    Billboard reports the tour pulled in an estimated $228 million.

    Bruce Springsteen's Wrecking Ball Tour has made $198 million, placing second.

    Coldplay ($147 million), Lady Gaga ($124 million), Barbra Streisand ($40 million), Sir Elton John ($32 million) and Justin Bieber ($30 million) also made the list.
