Madonna + Adele? What a pairing, right?
It turns out that Madge wanted the British singer to perform with her at the 2012 Super Bowl in February.
Madge was joined by LMFAO, Cee Lo Green, Nicki Minaj and M.I.A. but had hoped to share the stage with Adele.
Sadly, Adele turned down the offer as she was still recuperating after undergoing throat surgery and had to protect her voice.
Madge told a UK talk show, "I wanted her to be in the Super Bowl with me, but I think she was having her throat problem or throat operation or something."
Adele performed at the Grammys a week after the Super Bowl, marking her return to live performing.
Despite the declined offer, Madge would like to team up with Adele sometime in the future. She said, "I would love to (collaborate). I would love to meet her, I think she's brilliant, I love her."
