Not guilty, so says one of the men accused of a plot hatched to kidnap and/or murder British soul singer Joss Stone! Really? Really.
WENN reports that a man accused of conspiring to murder Stone pleaded not guilty on Monday.
Here are the deets: Kevin Liverpool, 34, appeared at Exeter Crown Court in England on Monday and pleaded not guilty to charges of conspiracy to murder, conspiracy to commit grievous bodily harm (GBH) and conspiracy to commit robbery. His alleged accomplice Junior Bradshaw, 31, also appeared in court and is charged with conspiring to harm and rob the singer, but did not enter a plea.
The two men, both from Manchester, England, were arrested in June close to the singer's home in Devon after they were allegedly seen behaving strangely in a nearby village. They were caught with all sorts of evidence indicating that they were planning to kidnap and/or murder the singer. Scary, right?
The case was adjourned until December and both men were remanded in custody ahead of a trial set for August of next year.
Stone was not in court for the hearing, but her mother Wendy was on site.
