Marilyn Monroe's flowy white frock from The Seven Year Itch was auctioned off to a collector who bid a cool (and apparently disposable) $4.6 million at a weekend auction of Hollywood memorabilia!

The dress was among the film costumes and props collected by actress (and Carrie Fisher's mom) Debbie Reynolds over four decades. Reynolds had hoped to see the collection housed in a museum at one point, reported The Associated Press. But it never came to fruition so the items were auctioned off.

I love that dress and the scene were Monroe's dress blows up over the subway grate. I even have a giant print of that photo framed in my living room! It's such an iconic scene from pop culture.

What do you think of Marilyn Monroe's dress fetching $4.6 million at an auction?
