Mark Ronson Checked Out of Gossip Record When Amy Winehouse Died

Mark Ronson checked out of his work on The Gossip's A Joyful Noise as he was slapped with the news that longtime friend and collaborator Amy Winehouse had died.
The producer said that Winehouse's death made him realize how good the chemistry was between the two of them and that he was lacking such a feeling with the Beth Ditto-fronted band.
He told MTV, "It was really strange. It was almost like a turning point. When I found out that Amy passed I was in disbelief. I walked out of the session and I never fully came back...I think the main thing, the chemistry of what we had going on with the Gossip album wasn't really amazing and being reminded about how good it is when it's good, maybe I thought I was forcing something."
The record was finished, but without Ronson. He only got half production credits.
What do you think of Mark Ronson's checking out of Gossip's record? Shitty or no?
