Producer Mark Ronson is best known for his work behind-the-scenes, having produced Back to Black, the smash album that put Amy Winehouse on the map! He has also worked with Lilly Allen. Once again, Ronson is stepping in front of the microphone as a singer for his third album Record Collection which will see release on September 28 on RCA Records. He is also the sibling of Samantha Ronson, who is the ex of Lindsay Lohan, as well as hip fashion designer Charlotte Ronson. Obviously, the Ronson clan is a creative one.

On his album, Ronson acts as a vocalist on the Ghostface Killah collaboration "Lose It (In The End)" and the title track, which also features Duran Duran singer Simon Le Bon and keyboardist Nick Rhodes. Eclectic, no doubt.

The album was recorded in Brooklyn with eBay-acquired vintage keyboards! Now that is what I call hip! Also, Boy George and Q-Tip have cameos on the record. Mark Ronson has friends in high places.

Will you check out Record Collection based on the fact that the singer has worked with Winehouse and Allen?
