Mark Ronson Working With MIA Singer D'Angelo

Amy Winehouse's producer Mark Ronson, who is also working on his third album Record Collection, which is out September 28 via RCA, is working with the long- MIA R&B singer D'Angelo on the follow up to 2000's Voodoo. It's been at least eight years between records. Wow. D'Angelo, who won a Best R&B Album Grammy in 2001 after selling nearly 2 million copies of the album, is taking his sweet ass time on making a comeback and a follow up.
Ronson said to Billboard that he was "going into the studio... to work a bit on his record, and I have equal parts intimidation and awe and excitement." Ronson says that he does not know how close the new album is to being completed but added that "I know he's been working nonstop. It's not like they've been sitting on their asses."
Maybe they/D'Angelo are just perfectionists? I mean, eight years is a long time to be working nonstop. It must be an epic of epic epicness.
