In a strange world where strange things frequently happen something quite odd has occurred. Last night Martin Shkreli, the pharmaceutical businessman made famous for gouging the price of medicines, shared "Once Upon A Time In Shaolin", the one existing copy of the Wu Tang Clan album that he reportedly purchased for $2 million.
Last month Shkreli promised to share the music for free if Donald Trump won the US presidency. With Trump's victory at the polls yesterday Shkreli perhaps surprisingly honored his word and shared some of that music. He broadcast a Periscope video of himself listening to the album. Some of that stream made its way to video, and you can check out a fragment of that broadcast below:
Shkreli also promised, somehow, to share unreleased Nirvana and Beatles music.
Over the last few hours, Shkreli has revealed a number clips of the album. He says that he wasn't expecting these election results and that he's now going to have to work with Wu-Tang to distribute the album on a wider level.
