Diva Mary J. Blige will celebrate the 17-year anniversary of her album My Life with a party in the form of a New York concert. Aw yeah!
My Life was MJB's sophomore album, released in 1994, and she will celebrate the occasion with a special show at Terminal 5 on Nov. 23. The performance will come two days after the release of her latest album, My Life II… The Journey Continues (Act I).
"I think My Life is so relevant now and will always be relevant," Blige told MTV. "It's etched in stone in the music world and people's personal lives because it was the very first time that someone said something that people were thinking… I was speaking from my own life and my own trials and tribulations. Turns out four million other people were feeling the exact same thing at the same time."
Blige said My Life II will address similar themes.
