Mary Lambert will hit the road for a fall headlining North American tour, which kicks off on October 10 in Toronto and continues through mid November.

That's COMING RIGHT UP! You've gotta see M. Lambert and we'll tell you why.

How do you know the Seattle-based singer and songwriter? She provided the female voice to Macklemore's powerful same-sex marriage anthem "Same Love."

Her song "She Keeps Me Warm" is pretty rad, too.

Lambert is touring in support of her upcoming debut album Heart On My Sleeve, which will be released by Capitol Records on October 14.

Lambert, who toured all summer with Matt Nathanson and Gavin DeGraw, is known for her transcendent live shows, which often feature group sing-alongs and emotional moments for both Lambert and the audience.

A fearless writer inspired by confessional folk singers and spoken-word poets, Lambert empowers both herself and her listeners in her songs, which showcase her ethereal, lilting voice and soul-baring lyricism.

"This year has been the best of my entire life, which is not to say it hasn't come with its fair share of hurdles, heartbreak, and harsh lessons," Lambert says. "I can only write about the experiences I've had. I signed to a major label. I went through a breakup. I figured out how to be an independent person. I have been terrifyingly honest to the public about traumatic events in my life. I met the woman of my dreams. I have been on the road nonstop, away from those I love, but with the opportunity to sing about gay rights to hundreds of thousands of people. This album is inspired by the depth of all of that love, and the journey that it takes to get there."

The album definitely comes from a very, very real place.

Go see Mary Lambert -- she is amazing.
