Stop...Uncle Sam's Hammer Time. Uncle Sam is about to drop the hammer on Hammer.

TMZ reports the rapper allegedly owes the federal government around $780,000 in back taxes. That's a lot of debt to the I.R.S. That's for sure.

The government has filed a suit against the rapper and his wife to recoup its losses and is looking to seize any of his earnings from concerts and have the payments be diverted to Uncle Sam.

It'd be easier to owe money to the Mafia. It's a lesson to all: PAY YOUR TAXES!

What is your favorite Hammer song? And what do you think of celebs who don't pay their taxes? Victims of shoddy accounting or irresponsible citizens? Tsk tsk.
