Screw the potatoes! It's all about the meat in this case.
Meat Loaf—Marvin Lee Aday on all legal documents and to his momma—has signed to Loud & Proud, the heritage rock-leaning imprint of hard rock label Roadrunner Records.
The large 'n' in charge 'Loaf will release his latest rock opera, Hang Cool Teddy Bear, which is a line lifted from Beyond the Valley of the Dolls, if you weren't astute enough to figure that one out on your own, on May 11. Mr. Loaf recruited producer Rob Cavallo, who has worked with super hot (and young) bands like Paramore and My Chemical Romance in recent years, to twiddle the knobs for the album. The big man with the big voice is back. No word if and when Meat Loaf will embark on a tour at press time. But nevertheless, padlock the fridge!
