The larger-than-life singer and pop icon Meat Loaf, whose impassioned voice has helped him soar to 60 million worldwide album sales through the course his career, is scheduled to appear on QVC May 4 at 12 PM (ET) during the multimedia retailer's QCheck broadcast. Meat and QVC? Let's hope millions of bored housefraus watch his performance and rush out to buy his latest, Hang Cool Teddy Bear!

On QCheck, Mr. Loaf is scheduled to perform his brand new song "Los Angeloser" from Teddy Bear. The album is due in stores on May 11, but fans can pre-order the album via this telecast! Meat is offering a specially packaged version for QVC, with a bonus disc of classic live material, one week before its street date. He's taking care of QVCers.

Always the crowd pleaser, Meat will also perform his biggest hit, the classic and definitive anthem, "Paradise by the Dashboard Light." We were barely 17 and we were barely dressed! I think I will tune in just for this rendition of a classic!

In a statement, Meat said,"Hang Cool Teddy Bear is the most important record of my life. This will be the first live performance of any song from this album in the world. I'm excited to be able to share this extraordinary moment with QVC and reach direct into the homes of all my fans." So grab a sandwich, pull up a chair, crank the volume and eat some Meat. Ok, bad pun. Watch some meat!

Do you prefer the classic songs and albums of a superstar or do you get excited to hear new songs? Or do you simply view them as a cue to hit the rest room, when they play 'em live?
