On her official website, Christina Aguilera has dismissed the rampant reports she's upset with Lady Gaga and thinks that Gaga has attempted to copy her more risque and dramatic looks with her larger-than-life, much discussed image. The media has certainly fostered this "feud," by constantly asking Aguilera what she thinks about Gaga while Aguilera tries to promote her new album, Bionic. Aguilera insists that comments she has made about Gaga's stylistic and fashionista similarities have been taken out of context. It's always the writer's fault!
Aguilera wrote, "I would like to take a moment to clarify something that has been brought to my attention... It is very easy for comments to be taken out of context and create unnecessary drama, especially between us women. So I would like to tell you all directly, so my words cannot be misconstrued to sell someone else's story. I have absolutely nothing against Lady Gaga or any other female artist in this business. I think she is great, and I appreciate any woman fearless enough to go against the norm. She has earned her success with hard work and a clear focus and I have nothing but respect for that. There is room for all of us on everyone's iPods." How is that for diplomatic and dousing the flames with a deluge of water?
Do you think Aguilera and Gaga should do a duet together, dressed in all black latex, to put this drama to bed once and for all?
