Megan Fox Won't Return for Third Transformers Flick

Paramount has confirmed that Megan Fox will not be reprising her role as Mikaela Banes in the third installment of the Transformers franchise. Fox –who turned 24 earlier this week- made some unsavory comments about director Michael Bay when promoting the second film last summer. It has been speculated that the decision to drop Fox was Bay's.
A Paramount rep confirmed to Variety that they decided against picking up the actress' option but they refused to elaborate further on the details. Bay is reportedly looking for a new female to co-star opposite Shia LaBeouf.
Fox's comments were pretty intense. She told a British magazine that "[Bay] wants to be like Hitler on his sets, and he is. So he's a nightmare to work for but when you get him away from set, and he's not in director mode, I kind of really enjoy his personality because he's so awkward, so hopelessly awkward. He has no social skills at all. And it's endearing to watch him. He's vulnerable and fragile in real life and then on set he's a tyrant."
While those comments might seem harsh, they are more like backhanded compliment and are certainly not inflammatory enough to get Fox dismissed from the franchise, in my opinion. Plus, she is the hottest thing on planet earth, so lots of fanboys might not come see the movie without the allure of Fox.
Are you going to boycott the next Transformers film now that Fox is gone?
