Beloved lesbian rocker Melissa Etheridge will share her 2007 album music royalties with her ex-girlfriend as part of their settlement agreement. Etheridge and former lover Tammy Lynn Michaels had been bitterly battling since splitting back in 2010.
The former couple finally reached a deal at a court-ordered mediation meeting last month, according to TMZ.
Etheridge has agreed to split 50 percent of the royalties from her album The Awakening with Michaels, who will also receive 50 percent royalties from individual song sales from that album, which dropped in 2007.
Hey, at least it's not royalties from her mega hit songs from the late '90s. That'd be a serious payday for Michaels, who took to public blogging when she and the singer broken up.
Etheridge will retain the couple's property in Arizona, California and Arkansas.
