A glove worn by any other celebrity would probably not fetch as much cash at an auction, to paraphrase and modernize a famous Billy Shakespeare quote. The Associated Press reports that items from the late Michael Jackson's stage attire fetched hefty sums over the weekend via the "Icons and Idols" auction in Beverly Hills. The single glove the singer wore during his Bad tour in the '80s sold for a whopping and jaw-dropping $330,000. A signed jacket fetched far less, bringing in $96,000, while a fedora that Jacko wore on stage nabbed $72,000.
Other odd items that pulled in cash? A pair of empty prescription bottles from the late Marilyn Monroe, which fetched $18,750 and a military-style jacket that John Lennon wore for a 1996 photo shoot for Life, which raked in $240,000.
What do you think of the prices these items were auctioned for?
