The kick-off date of Michael Jackson's "This Is It" tour has been pushed back five days to July 13. As for the rest of the pop star's run, it won't happen until March 2010.
"We wanted to ensure that all of Michael's fans attending the concerts get the same quality in staging and level of entertainment," AEG Live and Ticketmaster said in a statement. "It is AEG Live's sincere hope that those lucky enough to have purchased tickets will have enough time to change their personal schedules and travel plans if they are coming from outside of London. We do not want anyone to miss this once-in-a-lifetime experience. We understand the inconvenience this may have caused and for this reason we have secured some excellent hotel deals for Michael Jackson fans traveling to London on these rescheduled dates."
If you can't make the following rescheduled shows, refunds are available from the point of purchase: July 8 (now happening July 13); July 10 (now happening March 1, 2010); July 12 (now happening March 3, 2010); and July 14 (now happening March 6, 2010).
