According to reports published by the BBC, even though he is waiting to be tried for involuntary manslaughter for his role in Michael Jackson's death, Dr. Conrad Murray, who was the King of Pop's physician at the time of his death, is still able to practice medicine in California. The judge ruled that he did not have the power to ban Murray from practicing before his trial. Jackson's parents, Joe and Katherine, and brother and sister Tito and LaToya, were present in the courtroom when the ruling was handed down. The CA attorney general was seeking to have the cardiologist and his license suspended.

Murray's lawyers argued that he would be unable to support his legal fees and defense if his license and ability to practice were revoked. He isn't practicing in California, but a ban in any state could affect other practices he maintains in Nevada and Texas.

Murray is alleged to have administered a lethal dose of Propofol and other drugs, which resulted in the pop star's death on June 25 last year. A preliminary hearing is set for late August.

Do you think this was the correct ruling in this case?
