Michelle Obama has announced that she "has assembled an all-star team of female superstars for "This Is for My Girls." The empowering anthem, penned by Diane Warren, features Missy Elliott, Zendaya, Kelly Rowland, Janelle Monáe, Kelly Clarkson, Chloe & Halle, Jadagrace, Lea Michele, and more," according to Rap-Up.

The first lady will be making the opening remarks at South by Southwest today, where she will discuss her Let Girls Learn initiative. Let Girls Learn seeks to help girls around the globe complete school. Pitchfork reports, "The speech will feature Missy Elliott, Diane Warren, and Sophia Bush, and will be moderated by Queen Latifah."

On Monday, President Barack Obama joined Lin-Manuel Miranda, creator and star of Hamilton, in the White House Rose Garden for some freestyle action. Standing next to Miranda, Obama held up large notecards with words like "POTUS," "Obamacare," and "Constitution," for Miranda to rap about. Obama was in a jovial nature as he joked about being nervous and hoping he "didn't drop these cards."

It seems that the First Family is getting highly involved in music this week. And it is the perfect time, as SXSW gets started. South by Southwest's music festival runs March 15th through 20th and features hundreds of bands playing across a variety of venues in Austin, Texas.
