Jason Bateman Videos
The current career revival of '80s teen idol Jason Bateman rages on! Bateman, who has enjoyed renewed success in the new millennium thanks to the starring comedic role on TV's recently canceled, yet criminally underlooked, Arrested Development as well as plum roles in Juno and Forgetting Sarah Marshall, has teamed up with Beavis & Butthead and King of the Hill creator and comedic mastermind Mike Judge for Judge's upcoming comedy, Extract.
In the film, Bateman will play the owner of a flower extract plant whose wife is having an affair. Additionally, Bateman's character will also deal with all sorts of workplace issues, which is familiar territory for Judge, who's 1999-issued Office Space is a cult classic with dialogue often quoted verbatim by disgruntled employees and Judge fans the world over!
If Judge's keen understanding of the workplace in Office Space is any indication, we're in for a real belly-laugh fest with Extract. Judge will write and direct the film. No word yet if Bateman's sister, Justine Bateman, who was also an '80s teen star thanks to her role as Mallory on TV's Family Ties, will resurrect her career with a cameo in this flick!
