Hey, Chicago. Uncle Al's coming home! That's right: Ministry has announced the first leg of their final worldwide tour, running from March 28 in Vancouver to May 8 in Chicago, the former headquarters of frontman Al Jourgensen. The industrial icon—a.k.a. the only constant in Ministry's tumultuous 30-year history—will be backed by guitarists Tommy Victor (Prong) and Sin Quirin (Revolting Cocks), keyboardist John Bechdel (Prong, AoTW, False Icons), drummer Jimmy DeGrasso (ex-Megadeth, Suicidal Tendencies, Alice Cooper) and bassist Tony Campos (Static X). Also appearing as a special guest during career-skimming two-and-a-half-hour sets will be Fear Factory/Ascension of the Watchers vocalist Burton C. Bell. As if Jourgensen's band lineup wasn't stacked enough, the mighty Meshuggah have been tapped as the tour's main support act and Hemlock will open.

Presale tickets for the "C U LaTouR" go on sale Thursday at www.ministry.tickets.musictoday.com, along with VIP packages that include advance doors, seating, meet & greets and gift bags from Jourgensen's record label, 13th Planet. Speaking of his main 9-to-5 these days, 13th Planet will release Cover Up in late March/early April. The 12-track cover album features Ministry and a revolving door of "Co-Conspirators" doing such classic jams as the Doors' "Roadhouse Blues" and The Beatles' "I Want You (She's So Heavy)."

"A Ministry tour is a traveling circus," Jourgensen said in a statement. "When we roll into town, everyone hides their daughters, but the freaks roll out the red carpet and a friend or two pops up on stage to add some spice and mayhem to the show. We never know who's gonna walk through the dressing room door at sound check."
