More details are surfacing in regards to T.I.'s jail drama.
T.I. is battling his case of questionable transportation to an Atlanta halfway house after he was released from prison a month early. His lawyer claims that no one told him that it was unacceptable to travel with anyone besides his wife.
"Bureau of Prison officials did not specifically state at any time that T.I. was limited to being in the vehicle with his wife and no one else," T.I.'s attorney, Steve Sadow, told MTV News. "There is nothing that was specifically instructed or directed on this."
An incident report was published by TMZ and it indicates that T.I. was on the bus with his wife, his manager and two VH1 producers, conducting business which led to a violation of his furlough application. Ah, that's the smoking gun. The rapper was not supposed to be discussing business or surrounded by those who are not his wife. Word spread quickly that he was going to be the subject of a Vh1 reality show post-release.
Sadow claims that the application neglected to specify that additional passengers were unacceptable, so if you don't know, now ya know, to quote Biggie Smalls.
Sadow also said, "He had no reason to think there would be a problem traveling with these particular people, because his manager had been approved for visitation and had seen him several times at the facility in Arkansas and the producer had been approved for visitation and had seen him several times."
T.I. was promptly returned to custody.
Do you think T.I. is getting the shaft here? The brotha cannot catch a break. You'll be out soon, Tip! We're pulling for you over here!
