Motorola Drops The MOTOROKR E8, Promotes The Verve

In their bid to make a mark in the new multifunction phone market, Motorola has just unleashed the new MOTOROKR E8 on the wireless world. Designed with the hardcore music fan in mind, the phone merges cell phone capabilities with a fully functioning MP3 player. ModeShift technology, its most head-turning feature, transforms the phone's control features between a phone, music player or camera with one push of a button. With a built in FM radio, 3.5mm headphone jack and SONG ID that recognizes and displays song info, the phone should satisfy even the most discriminating music obsessive.

In an effort to further establish the relationship between the new MOTOROKR and music fans, the company has launched a promotional effort to help get out the word about the highly anticipated new album from The Verve, Forth. In addition to hosting special listening parties for the album, the company is also distributing it preloaded on MOTOROKRs to select journalists. Let's just say, we liked the sound of that!
