A biopic based on the life of late INXS singer Michael Hutchence is being developed. So his life will come to the big screen. Two Worlds Colliding will begin casting next year, with writer Bobby Galinsky adapting the screenplay from the book Just a Man – The Real Michael Hutchence, which was written by the singer's mother. The title comes from the INXS hit "Never Tear Us Apart."
Galinsky spoke about the film, telling Rolling Stone, "It's from the family's side as Michael being a son, a brother, a friend. It's not a sex, drugs and rock 'n' roll tabloid situation. Who was Michael Hutchence? What drove him? What were his demons? What were his loves?"
So it will be a hard-hitting and uncompromising look.
The singer died in 1997, and the prevailing rock legend is that he died of autoerotic asphyxiation.
Would you want to see a film based on Michael Hutchence's life?
