Murs Throws Dance Party in Honor of 'Star Trek'

Murs seems to be popping up everywhere these days—including outer space.

In fact, the critically acclaimed indie rappers spit some intergalactic hip hop for a dance party in honor of Paramount’s hotly anticipated, Star Trek, in theaters everywhere May 8th. The party went down at one of the hippest places in the galaxy, New York’s Webster Hall, and Murs made sure to skyrocket attendees to the stratosphere with various cuts culled from his latest opus, Murs for President.

Girls painted green gyrated and grinded, while the dread-locked Los Angeles MC fired off his trademark lyrical flavor. Clad in a retro Trek shirt, Murs looked ready for the flick. It’s the perfect prelude to Star Trek, and it was certainly the place to be “beamed up” last Friday in the Big Apple.
