CartNatalie Maines to Release "Mother" on May 7

Natalie Maines essentially killed the Dixie Chicks' cookin' career years ago when she said onstage that she was ashamed that President Bush was from Texas, due to her disagreement with the war. She was never ready to make nice nor was she ready to back down, which we love her for. She's still making music, even though the Chicks are pretty much a backburner thing nowadays. Maines is about to release her solo album Mother on May 7. It's a rock record, too.
Ben Harper produced the platter, whose name is taken from her cover of the Pink Floyd song...not the Glenn Danzig song!
