St. Louis rapper Nelly has created a college tuition scholarship to honor the late Michael Brown, the Missouri teen who was unarmed but shot and killed by police in Ferguson, Missouri earlier this month, sparking a national conversation and outrage.

The region has experienced a serious flare up of tensions, and Nelly set up the scholarship fund in Brown's name to help diffuse the situation by doing something really positive.

Brown's family will select teens to utilize the scholarship, which will pay for college.

Reports suggest that fellow rapper T.I., actor Kevin Hart and NBA player Al Jefferson will donate $15,000 a year to the fund, as well. Nice work, gents.

What do you think of Nelly's gesture?
