New Album From Original Misfits On The Cards

Following two well-received sets at the Riot Fests in Denver and Chicago, Jerry Only says that the Misfits "could be the biggest in the world," and that a new album from the band is being discussed.
Speaking to Alternative Press, bassist Jerry Only said that, "I need an album if we continue and an album if we don't. I would like to hit the West Coast and the East Coast and then I'd like to go attack Europe."
For a couple of decades, Only was the sole remaining "classic" Misfit, performing with a variety of journeymen punk musicians until reforming this summer with guitarist (and Only brother) Doyle Wolfgang von Frankenstein and singer Glenn Danzig, initially for the Riot Fest shows.
However, Only told AP that he doesn't think the band could get any better right now.
""It's a unique experience because we're 40 years into the game and we're all at the peak of our game," he said. "The Misfits have the potential to be the biggest band ever. I think that the originality, the energy, the aggression and now the camaraderie is going to be what puts us far above what other people are able to achieve just based on pure physical power, endurance and persistence."
Dave Lombardo (Slayer) and Acey Slade complete the current lineup. Expect news regarding tour dates soon.
