New Line to Produce Sean Avery Flick

Former New York Rangers left-winger Sean Avery is a man of many hats. Apparently, they're designer hats, since the professional ice hockey star spent his summer vacation as an intern at famed fashion magazine Vogue. New Line Cinema is developing and producing a film about Avery's experiences in the cutthroat world of fashion as the guest editor of www.MensVogue.com.
Stan Chervin has been hired to write the film, which will explore the relationships and contacts that Avery developed while interning. The film is being billed as a romantic comedy. Avery, who is proud of his status as a fashionable jock and "metrosexual," and has appeared in print ads for The Gap, has since left the Rangers and will play with the Dallas Stars this coming season. No release date has been confirmed for the film.
