Whitney Houston has finished four songs for her first real-deal studio record since 2002's Just Whitney LP. (She also released a Christmas album called One Wish in 2003.) According to Clive Davis, the CEO/chairman of BMG Label Group, she'll have four more cuts done by the end of the month too.

"We're on track for a holiday release," he said yesterday morning at Billboard's Music & Money Symposium in New York's St. Regis Hotel. "We're not going to compromise who she is to fit into today's hip-hop radio market. The public wants Whitney material."

Will.i.am, Sean Garrett and Akon have all produced or written songs for the album. As Akon told Billboard.com last year, "The voice is there; I don't think anyone could ever take that from her. As long as we apply that voice to hit records, she'll be right back where she left off."
