Newcastle Brown Ale is hosting an interesting event in and around Los Angeles on on Sept. 24 A euphemism originating in Newcastle, UK, "Walking the Dog" is code for scampering to the local pub for a pint of Newcastle Brown Ale. Usually greeted with a sigh from your significant other, this witty drinking excuse has become a classic in England. To celebrate, Newcastle is hosting "Walk the Dog" day exclusive events at five venues.
WHAT: "Walk the Dog" day is an excuse for Southern California Newkie fans to meet up with friends and enjoy a pint in an exclusive location with unique music and entertainment.
WHEN: 11am -- 3pm on Saturday, Sept. 24, 2011
WHERE: Five "Walk the Dog" Day will take place simultaneously in the following cities: East LA, Downtown LA, West LA, Long Beach, and Santa Ana. Band names and exact pub locations will be announced next week.
HOW: Invites are limited – to be considered for tickets, please email firstname.lastname@example.org with your first "Walk the Dog" Day location choice; open to the public but you must RSVP to the Gmail address to receive exact details.
Also required for entrance is a minimum $1 donation to benefit the Los Angeles Art Association, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to provide opportunities, resources, and services for emerging Los Angeles artists of all media.
