Former Beatle Ringo Starr has denied that a band comprised of the sons of the members of The Beatles are forming a band. No way, Jose.

Paul McCartney's son James started the rumor, saying that he and the rest of the sons could pay tribute to their dads with a second-generation incarnation.

James Mac admitted that he had discussed working with Sean Lennon and Dhani Harrison but intimated that Starr's son, Zak Starkey, was the holdout and not as interested in making it happen.

James said, "I don't think it's something that Zak wants to do. Maybe Jason [Starkey] would want to do it. I'd be up for it. Sean seemed to be into it, Dhani seemed to be into it. I'd be happy to do it."

Starr shot it down to WENN, saying, "Both my sons tell me they are not going to do it." His other son is Jason Starkey.

Would you like the see the sons of the Beatles form a band?
