Former Oasis guitarist and songwriter Noel Gallagher returned to the music world Wednesday with the announcement he had written two solo albums, the first of which will be released in October. Two years after feuding with his brother Liam, who was Oasis frontman, led to the band splitting up, he announced an eponymous album by his band 'Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds' would be released on October 17.

Boo freakin' hoo. Bratty Brit poppers Oasis had to pay for the recording process for their final album, Dig Out Your Soul, in the form of cold, hard cash. Noel Gallagher told NME that they had been banned from Abbey Road Studios in London and had to use their own bank accounts to fund the recording of the album. Gallagher said, "We decided to go back to Abbey Road after being kicked out during the Be Here Now sessions for being a bit wild. They let us back in but we had to pay in cash. If they threw us out, we lost all the money."

The band has broken up and members have moved on to other projects.

What is your favorite Oasis song? Favorite Brit pop band? Do you have any interest in the post-Oasis projects?
