On last Friday night, RE:MIX LAB Fueled by Hyundai opened up with a big bang.
The premier car manufacturer unveiled three custom-built vehicles illuminating the pinnacle of both aesthetic and performance within a gallery in the bustling metropolitan heart of Los Angeles.
However, the party wasn't silent…
Booming through the speakers, L.A. indie stalwarts Wavves roared through a sweaty yet slick set that got the indie chic audience of hipster vixens, skateboarders, and backpackers to move in a veritable frenzy. The energy was instantly palpable from the moment they hit the stage, and it reached a buzzing climax by the time they finished. If you haven't seen them yet, they're one of the scene's most incendiary and irresistible live acts.
As a real treat, Odd Future architect, Tyler, the Creator, popped up alongside Casey Veggies for a gruff display of potent gutter hip hop. Tyler's presence can't be topped as he stalked the stage like a serial killer matching Veggies's smooth flow with his own staggering baritone rhymes. It was as fresh and as raw as it gets.

It got loud, awesomely loud!

Check it!

On the tamer side, Seth Combs [Co-Founder, Sol Republic] spoke about the transitioning climate of music as technology affects its evolution and impacts electronic dance music sub-culture. In addition, there was a fantastic speech courtesy of Ted Cohen from TAG Strategic. The evening truly functioned as a fascinating crossroads between tech futurism, gaming, underground-music-assaulting-the-mainstream, automotive evolution, and more sexiness. In other words, it was epic, bro…to use the parlance of our times
