OFF! Release Debut, Four-Song EP

OFF!, the LA-based punk/hardcore quartet featuring Keith Morris (Black Flag/Circle Jerks), Steven McDonald (Redd Kross), Dimitri Coats (Burning Brides), and Mario Rubalcaba (Earthless/Hot Snakes/Rocket From the Crypt), have unleashed their debut 1st EP on Vice Music.
The abbreviated length of the EP (the 7" clocks in at just over four explosive minutes) has given rise to a historic opportunity: the band will be making an appearance this week on NBC's Last Call With Carson Daly for a live performance that will include every song from the record, a first for the show, and perhaps in late night TV history. Tune in on Friday, October 15 to witness the carnage yourself. Most bands have to perform the radio edits of their songs and keep the performances under five minutes, so this perf is a "first" in scope and concept! To have a band perform four blasts loosely dubbed "songs" on TV? That's an endeavor. Go OFF!
The sparely titled 1st EP is only available as a limited edition 7" (packaged with an exclusive Raymond Pettibon poster) and to support the roll out, the band have launched a "Turn Your Internet OFF!" initiative, which is a website featuring personal messages from the band encouraging people to turn their Internet off and in favor of supporting brick and mortar retailers by purchasing the EP at a record store. The site makes the band's challenge a literal option by offering a button that can temporarily disable the users' Internet. Check it out here: http://www.viceland.com/vicerecords/internetoff/. That's some old school thinking right there. Unlock those electronic handcuffs, kids.
