Operators (Feat. Members of Wolf Parade, Divine Fits) Share "Cold Light"

Not only do we LOVE that indie cult darlings Wolf Parade have reunited after five years and landed some respectable residencies, its members continue to shovel out new projects, like Moonface, Divine Fits, the now-defunct Handsome Furs, and Operators.
The latter group, comprised of Wolf Parade's Dan Boeckner and Sam Brown, along with Devojka, is poised to release its debut album Blue Wave, April 1st on Last Gang Records. Holy F**k's Graham Walsh (METZ, Alvvays, Viet Cong) produced the synth rock opus that includes lead single "Cold Light," which premiered today.
Stereogum says "it sounds like a New Order song topped off with the passionate howls that have become Boeckner's trademark." We think it definitely smacks of Boeckner's smooth and steely stamp within Divine Fits, with a certain new wave edge.
Operators kick off a two month-long tour next month on February 17th at the Starlight Social Club in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada, wrapping on April 23rd at the Middle East Upstairs in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
Wolf Parade's residencies follow, with five nights in mid-May at New York's Bowery Ballroom (May 17th-21st), three at Toronto's Lee's Palace (May 24th-26th), and two performances at London's Scala (June 14th-15th). Tickets are available now at WolfParade.com.
