The oft-delayed solo project of Outkast's Big Boi will finally get a jump start, thanks to a solo deal the artist has penned with Def Jam. The oddly-titled Sir Lucious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty has been a work in progress for the past three years and Boi announced the news via his Twitter account on Friday. The deal with Def Jam is strictly for his solo work.
Big Boi has released tracks from the album since he started working on the material. The album boasts an impressive guest list, including his Outkast partner Andre 3000, Raekwon, Mary J. Blige, George Clinton, Too $hort and Gucci Mane. Boi has also worked with T.I., Lil Jon, Jamie Foxx and B.O.B. on the project.
Do you think the album has taken too long? Do you think it'll be a mess because of the delays and stops and starts?
