Ozzy Osbourne Goes Green for "Black Rain"
Mon, 04 Jun 2007 16:50:41
Ozzy Osbourne's latest album may be called Black Rain, but the packaging is pure green. The U.S. first edition release of Ozzy's latest CD comes in a recycled paper sleeve with no accompanying booklet—instead, fans can look up lyrics and liner notes at www.ozzy.com. It's all part of an effort by Ozzy and his label, Epic Records, to "curb the overuse of materials, both paper and plastic," according to a press release.
In place of a lyrics booklet, some copies of Black Rain will include a code that allows fans to download two tickets to an Ozzfest show near them. Saving the environment and hooking up his fans—all in a day's work for the Prince of Darkness.
