Singer Patti Labelle has reportedly agreed to pay $100,000 as part of a settlement for a lawsuit over claims she verbally abused a woman in front of a young child.

The soul diva stood accused of throwing water, as well as insults and bad words, at Roseanna Monk, verbally abusing her as they argued in the lobby of an apartment building in New York in 2010.

Labelle was pissed at Monk for letting her daughter, Genevieve, 18 months, play in the lobby.

Roseanna and her husband Kevin were so pissed that they took legal action against Labelle when she refused to apologize.

Labelle will now hand over $100,000, which the Monks will donate to a children's charity.

Monk told The New York Post: "This is an opportunity for Patti LaBelle to help a lot of children, and I feel good about that."

What do you think of the outcome of this drama? At least a lot of kids are being helped by Labelle's cash.
