Paul McCartney Asks McDonald's to Remove Photo of Him

When longtime, vocal vegetarian Paul McCartney learned that McDonald's had posted pictures of him and The Beatles at a Liverpool McDonald's restaurant, the meat-free musician was having none of it. Britain's Daily Star reported that the singer asked that the photos be removed. Representatives at PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) explained that McCartney would never authorize his photo to endorse meats.
While a publicly posted photo of the musician isn't exactly an endorsement of meat eating, it makes sense that Sir Paul would want the photos removed and the association distanced.
