Paul McCartney Paid Less Than $2 For Olympic Performance

The musicians that performed at the Opening Ceremony of the 2012 Olympic Games in London were paid a paltry $1.57 (the equivalent of a British pound Sterling) for their efforts! That includes Sir Paul McCartney, one of the greatest living songwriters. Wonder what he spent it on!
The Associated Press reports that Olympics organizers say the small sum was paid to performers in order to make their contracts binding. As in they wanted them to commit!
