Paul Simon Announces Tour and New Album

Paul Simon's new album is called Stranger to Stranger and will be released this spring. In addition to the new album, Paul Simon is heading out on a North American tour this spring, beginning with an appearance at New Orleans' Jazz Fest in late April. While he and Sting performed co-headlining arena dates in 2014, this tour marks his first North American solo venture since 2011.
The tour will see Paul Simon largely playing indoor theaters and concert halls including Portland, Oregon's Schnitzer Concert Hall and Austin, Texas' Bass Concert Hall. The tour also includes a number of stadium-sized shows including Los Angeles, California's Hollywood Bowl and Toronto, Ontario's Sony Centre, before wrapping up June 30th at Forest Hills Stadium in Queens, New York. Coincidently, the historic stadium, which reopened for concerts in 2013, is located blocks away from Simon's childhood home.
The official tour announcement bore no evidence of a new album. But when an advertisement for the Forest Hills Stadium concert also mentions the release of a new album this spring, we were able to put two and two together. A spokesperson for Simon's camp has also confirmed the new album.
Stranger to Stranger will be the follow up to Simon's 2011 LP, So Beautiful or So What.
