Pearl Jam Announce Details of Their Festival, Film, Tour and Book

Pearl Jam have finally confirmed details for their very own festival, as well as the film, tour and book that are part of the celebration of the 20th anniversary of their debut album Ten.
First, the festival: It'll mark the only US PJ performances this year and will be held Labor Day weekend (September 3rd and 4th) at Alpine Valley Music Theatre in East Troy, Wisconsin, outside Milwaukee. The Strokes, Queens of the Stone Age, Mudhoney, X's John Doe and Joseph Arthur are all set to perform.
Festival tickets go on sale next Monday, May 23rd for members of Pearl Jam's Ten Club fan organization and on June 4th for the general public and the not cool kids. I kid, I kid.
Post-fest comes the tour: Pearl Jam will play 10 shows in Canada. Two dollars from every ticket sold to the festival and Canadian shows will benefit the Vitalogy Foundation, which aids non-profit organizations chosen by band members.
And the film: Pearl Jam Twenty, directed by longtime band friend Cameron Crowe, was created from over 1200 hours of rare, vintage footage along with new interviews and live material. In addition, Crowe has selected the track list for an accompanying soundtrack, which will be released on a date to be announced by Columbia Records.
And the book: Crowe has written the forward to a book, also titled Pearl Jam Twenty, to be released this fall by Simon & Schuster in North America.
Finally, the new material: The band is working on its 10th studio disc.
Frontman Eddie Vedder is also about to release his second solo album, Ukulele Songs, on May 31st, in addition to a live CD/DVD, Water on the Road. He hits the road on a solo tour on June 15th.
