Pearl Jam have announced the first releases in a two-year reissue plan—one that leads right up to the band's 20th anniversary in 2011. The group's 1991 debut, Ten, will be available in four Legacy Recordings formats on March 24: a Legacy Edition with one remastered CD and one remastered and remixed CD (by producer Brendan O'Brien) with six bonus tracks ("Brother," "Just a Girl," "State of Love and Trust," "Breath and a Scream," "2,000 Mile Blues," "Evil Little Goats"); a Deluxe Edition that adds on a DVD of Pearl Jam's previously unreleased "Unplugged" performance from 1992; a Vinyl Collection pressing that strips the bonus tracks from the Legacy Edition and spreads the two versions of Ten over two LPs; and a Super Deluxe Edition that's just plain ridiculous if you're a major fan. How ridiculous? Well, for $140 (with free U.S. shipping), you get everything from the Deluxe Edition and Vinyl Collection, plus a 2-LP live set from 1992 called Drop in the Park, a replica of the band's incredibly rare "Momma-Son" demo (featuring "Alive," "Once" and "Footsteps"), and a composite of Eddie Vedder's notebook. Oh, and the band's signing random sets.
Phew. For complete details on all this madness, check here.
