The first three weeks of the Honda Civic Tour have been postponed at the behest of headliners Fall Out Boy, who cite "personal issues beyond the band's control" as the cause for the delay. The tour, which was to begin April 18th in Charlotte, North Carolina, will now kick off on May 11th in Denver. Only one show, in Sacramento, California on May 1st, is being cancelled, and those tickets will be refunded at the point of purchase.
"We want to put on the best possible show we can and know that this extra couple of weeks will give us the time to put ourselves in the right place to put on the best show we can," FOB bassist Pete Wentz said in a statement on the band's label website. "Our fans really mean the world to us and I promise the wait will be well worth it."
The Honda Civic Tour also features rapper Paul Wall and rockers +44, Cobra Starship, and the Academy Is.... Postponed dates will be moved to the end of the tour, which now wraps up July 2nd in Anaheim, California.
