Animal rights group PETA is taking Dr. Dre to task for a pair of fur-covered headphones from his Beats by Dre line. You can go here to read the entire text of the letter. That PETA penned to Dre.

The limited edition headphones, designed in collaboration by Dr. Dre and Oscar de la Renta, come with a steep price tag of $695, courtesy of the fox fur lining.

PETA wants Dre to keep fur and animal skins off of his headphone designs. Since fur doesn't really enhance how the headphones work, PETA has a point. The fur is not necessary.

    Team Dre or Team PETA?
