Pete Doherty Dedicates Songs to Amy Winehouse and Robyn Whitehead While Performing

The often troubled and drug-addled singer Pete Doherty dedicated his "last gig in a long time" to late singer Amy Winehouse and his filmmaker friend Robyn Whitehead, who died last year while hanging out with Doherty and shooting a doc.
The disheveled chic Doherty took that stage at London's Brixton Academy on Friday night and told the crowd he would be bowing out of the spotlight after the concert to work on new projects. Good, we're glad he'll be productive.
Doherty finished the gig by performing a song written especially for Winehouse, telling the crowd, "This will be the last gig in a long time because we need to go and get some new things together so this is it for a while. I want to dedicate this show to the memory of Robyn Whitehead and Amy Winehouse, two good friends of mine. Here's a song I wrote for Amy." How sweet.
